Happy business since 1999
Blijbol has been founded in 1999 by Jeroen van der Gun and Tim van Iersel. The first computer game produced was Lachebekje versus Bolleboos, a quite simple Dutch game for two players. For a long time this was Blijbol's only game.
The Blijbol website has been launched in the year 2002.
In 2003 the site became easier accessible and a Dutch forum was added.
In 2004 the site got its own domain: www.blijbol.tk. Also a new English site was built: www.blijbol-europe.tk, containing special information about Game Maker, the programming software Blijbol uses.
In the beginning of 2005 the forum on www.blijbol.tk was replaced by a better one and both sites were fully renewed. Since then, the Game Maker pages were no longer available. In June www.blijbol.nl has been claimed, forcing the site to be renewed once more. Again a new Dutch forum appeared. Richard Verschuren became a team member, but he also stepped down quite quick.
In 2006 Blijbol officially started programming on graphing calculators. However, the production of computer programmes continues.
In the beginning of 2007 the website was fully renewed. The Dutch forum was replaced by guestbooks and new English guestbooks appeared. The section about Game Maker returned in two languages. Advertisements were also added to the site.
